Lauren Taub Cohen is the founder of MetaMinds, a company focused on teaching mindfulness and grit-growing techniques for children, teens and adults. Lauren is also a trauma-sensitive Pilates instructor with a commitment to fostering self-awareness through movement. She has been practicing meditation since 2001 and is certified to teach mindfulness meditation by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She has a B.A. in English Literature from Boston University and an M.S.Ed. from Bank Street College of Education. As a classroom teacher, Lauren received recognition for adapting mindfulness practices by making them more developmentally accessible for children and teens. She works privately with individuals and has lead workshops at businesses, non-profits, therapy centers, schools and parent associations. Lauren is completing Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing (SE) Practitioner training and, prior to teaching, worked at 60 Minutes.
