Waking Up Together: An Insight Dialogue Retreat
Saturday, December 3 | 10 am – 3 pm EDT | Tibet House, 22 W 15th Street, NYC
So much of our suffering happens when we interact with people. We are relational by nature, yet most of our spiritual practice is done personally.
On this retreat we’ll explore Insight Dialogue, a fully relational meditation practice supporting interpersonal freedom.
We’ll contemplate together the joys and challenges in our interpersonal lives.
This special day will have elements of guided movement, silent meditation and mindful dialogue in pairs. All are welcome.
We will begin practice promptly at 10 am. We will break for a 1-hour lunch at noon and end at 3 pm.
Recommended Donation: $50
This amount is recommended to cover the cost of the space rental and to ensure that teachers and staff can be paid for their time. If you can, please consider donating more to support those who cannot afford this amount. Your generosity supports CMC’s ability to freely offer the teachings.
Without the cost of membership or admission fee, the teachings are freely offered to all. Your donation enables CMC to support our teachers and offer special events such as this. Please consider offering dana (generosity) to support this event and your Community Meditation Center.
Health and Safety
In consideration for the health and welfare of the community, all attendees will be required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination and at least 1 booster. All attendees will be required to wear a mask over both the mouth and nose. Capacity will also be limited to the first 75 registrants, at which point, we will open a waiting list.
Attendees are encouraged to bring an additional layer for warmth.
We will begin practice promptly at 10 am. There will be a 1-hour break for lunch at noon. We will begin again at 1 pm and end by 3 pm.
Please note: No one is permitted to eat or drink in the space. Attendees must consume lunch elsewhere.
Cell Phone Policy
Attendees are expected to silence their phones at minimum. Shutting down phones or putting them on airplane mode is encouraged. Out of respect for everyone’s practice, attendees are expected to not interact with their phones during practice.
